美因槟榔艺术馆开张至今已经快一年十个月了，假日到访人潮依然不减，一家大小乐融融拍鬼马搞怪照，旅行团也把美因槟榔当成是到槟城旅游必安排的观光活动之一，不时不时就会看到整辆大巴的游客来访逗留。我们先前在开张时期到此一游，玩得不亦乐乎，也写了篇帖子介绍美因槟榔艺术馆，分享我们与立体画作的互动，可点击我们的旧文章——美因槟榔艺术馆 Made In Penang Interactive Museum，透过对比可以了解当时和如今的差别与转变。

It has been 1 year and 10 month Made In Penang Interactive Museum start their operation. Yet, there are still tones of people visit during weekend or public holiday. Everyone is enjoying taking all those funny and funky post in it. Travel agency also will bring the tourist by bus when those tourist visit Penang. Made In Penang Interactive Museum already become one of the must visit destination for people who visit Penang. This is our second visit to Made In Penang Interactive Museum. Our first visit is when they still newly opened where we really had lots of fun there taking photo. 美因槟榔艺术馆的入门处以老槟城风貌壁画为主，展现老槟城热闹的情景，现在多了几档小摊子如人像素描和印度彩绘等。购买票根后，解说员会带你游览底楼的微型雕像，并初略地讲解槟城的文化生活、童年玩乐、建筑风格、殖民时代码头劳动的历史。接着来到二楼，也是大家最期待，必须发挥无限自由想象的立体画作互动区。走了一圈，发现画家企图通过画作表达槟城或马来西亚特有的传统与故事，以让大家在嬉闹中之余能切身感受大马文化的蕴涵与魅力。

When you at the entrance of Made In Penang Interactive Museum, there are murals showing the old past time of Penang. After you had bought your ticket, the narrator will guide you to the miniature statue showroom at ground floor. Then will explain to you Penang culture and lifestyle, childhood games, architecture style and the history of dock labor during colonial era. Then, you will go to second floor which also what everyone is looking forward to. You must come out with unlimited creative imagination in order to take photo with this 3D art. After go through all the 3D art, we realize that the artist attempt to express Penang or Malaysia unique culture and stories through the painting. You can learn while having fun taking photo with the 3D art. It’s a win win situation.

这是我们的第二次到访，感受很不一样，最明显的是艺术馆为了营造新鲜感，撤除并更新了某部分的画作，包括卡通版十二生肖，还有几幅室内的大型的壁画，也成功了增添了更多的互动乐趣。想说些个人意见，画作虽然有趣，但还不够出彩，也难令人留下深刻的印象，现今多数商家都重复以立体壁画作为宣传和卖点，即使是全槟第一家立体艺术馆，还是失去了那独一无二的惊喜。再说，有些新增添的打印画作缺少诚意，没有质感，无法用艺术的温度打动人心。还有另一点得加强，解说员的内容传达颇为重要，必须能透过与参观者的交流中传达某种文化的讯息，但是我接触到的只是平铺直叙的刻板内容，无法得到共鸣。

This is our second visit to Made In Penang Interactive Museum, what we see and feel is not the same. The most obvious differences are the way they create the atmosphere to attract more tourist. They come out with new paintings which include cartoon version of Chinese zodiac and a few huge size murals. It brings more fun to the museum for sure. Here is some of our personal opinion. Although it is really fun interact and taking photo with all this painting, yet it is not outstanding enough. It somehow hard to let people have an unforgettable impression. Nowadays there are a lot of similar museum selling the same idea coming out. Even though Made In Penang Interactive Museum is the first 3D art museum in Penang, it is not one and only anymore.

Other than that, the way that the narrator conveys the content is also quite important. They need to interact more with the visitor and try to come out with something creative to grab their attention. The content that they convey is also equally important. But what we get is just some very straight forward and stereotypical content. Yet, we still can see lots of effort had been done and in the end it is still a fun place that everyone must visit.
