Take a Break 歇息片刻: 客家山寨 + 客家分寨 Penang Balik Pulau Lodge

客家山寨正式营业不久，我们便上山参观和享用客家菜，那时我们的部落格刚创立，客家山寨因此成了第一篇博文。回想那时的欢乐，一眨眼两年时光过去了，这一次再来到客家分寨，也顺便上山探访客家山寨。目前，客家山寨提供半日游配套，和接待过夜留宿的顾客，一般用餐的顾客会在客家分寨招待。

Still remember the time when we visit Balik Pulau Lodge where we just start our blog. That time Balik Pulau Lodge was justopened and it happens to be our first blog post ever. It’s already 2 years since our first visit where we really had lots of fun that time. Time flies. After 2 years, this is our second visit where they have already opened up Sub Balik Pulau Lodge. Now, Hakka Village provides visitors a half day tour package and those who want to have a stay overnight in the lodge.

客家分寨

客家分寨由客家村菜馆，浮罗客家文化馆，和浮罗元素手信访组成，成排的大红灯笼在大门挂着，里头有许多颜色鲜艳的壁画，小小的农村建筑特别有活力。第一个进入眼帘是客家村菜馆侧边的桐花树壁画，桐花树算是早期客家人的主要经济生活作物，桐木轻软易燃可当柴烧，桐油木则是制作纸伞的颜料用料。民族的性格常常与他们成长的自然环境有关，油桐树生命力强，也被用来当成是性格坚毅节俭的客家人象征。桐花树壁画春暖花开，雪白的油桐花然然落下，多希望有朝一日能亲眼目睹一大片油桐花铺成的白草原。

Sub Balik Pulau Lodge is a combination of Hakka Village Restaurant, Balik Pulau Hakka Cultural Center and also “Balik Pulau Element” souvenir shop. There are a few colorful murals on the wall and also rows of red lanterns. It’s full of energy in it. The first things that grab our attention are the Aegiceras mural. For you information, Aegiceras is a very important source of economic income in early Hakka life. The bark can be used as firewood while to wood can made into dye that use to made paper umbrella.

The character of an ethnic group is often related to the environment where they grew up. Aegiceras have a very strong vitality which uses to describe the character of Jakka people. We hope that we can watch the flower blossom of Aegiceras where the tree is cover with white flowers. How beautiful it is.

客家分寨

客家村菜馆会到浮罗当地菜市场采购新鲜蔬菜肉类，厨娘们将根据选购的食材烹煮八道菜色招待客人。她们大清早在传统古早味厨房忙碌，准备让客人大饱口福，品尝那客家民俗的特有风味。若想前去，记得拨电预定人数，另一点要说明的是，特有几样传统客家小吃，如爽口弹牙的算盘子并不会出现在每日菜单，也可在客家山寨的面子书获得菜色的资讯。

Hakka Village Restaurant will use all the fresh vegetables and meats from the locals. The 8 dishes that they served each days is depends on the material that they get from local market. Early in the morning, they will start preparing all this dishes so that customers can enjoy they lunch when they arrived. If you plan to pay a visit, please remember to make a reservation so that they can prepare it for you. The other things is one of the Hakka famous dishes, Hakka Abacus Beads is not in their daily menu. So, it is depends on your luck or you can keep update with their social media because once in a while they will post it in Facebook to inform their customers the availability of Hakka Abacus Beads.

客家分寨

浮罗客家文化馆介绍中国客家人南迁事迹及奋斗的故事，也细述百年来客家人在浮罗山背的生活与发展。客家分寨费心思集结当地的人文资产，以生动的方式展示这片客家土地的故事，肩负起文化传承的责任。想带一些客家特产，必须走一趟浮罗元素手信访。客家分寨打造自家品牌——浮罗元素，推广浮罗在地土产，包括各式各样的饮料甜食，咖啡饮料，或香薰膏药类产品。

Balik Pulau Hakka Cultural Center is a place where you can understand the history of south migration of Hakka people and also the story of their struggle. There is also brief explanation of how Hakka people live at Balik Pulau for over hundred years. You can see the owners really pay lots of effort in preserving their culture. You also can get some Hakka’s product “Balik Pulau Element” here too where they produce their own products such as food and beverages, coffee or scented oil or cream.

客家分寨

来到客家分寨，除了再度回顾客家山寨的山林之美，也感受到客家人文的风度与热情。客家分寨少了客家山寨的山村豪气，但却多了份温馨小巧，依然如故的是浮罗客家人的热情。遇到了不少人，阿姨大叔年轻人们都好聊，邀请我们共进晚餐，那话匣子一打开便难以关上，听陌生人说着自己的大小事，我想起了人与人之间那种渐渐亲密渐渐疏远的奇妙关系。这一晚，我的心中写满了槟岛浮罗山背居民的笑脸，你们透过欢乐笑语娓娓述说着槟城浮罗客家人的故事。

This trip to Balik Pulau Lodge not only let us look back the beauty of Hakka Village, we also can strongly feel their passion and personality. Sub Balik Pulau Lodge is lack of some pride of Hakka Village, but it is let you feel warm which is similar to the enthusiasm of Hakka people. The reason we like to travel is because we like to hear the story behind. It is very interesting to listen to others story and learn from it. No matter how educated you are or how much books you read, there are nothing compare to learning from others experience. This is priceless.
