热带香料花园里头种有大约五百余类植物，产自马来西亚和世界其它热带地区。这个花园的建成不是一早一夕，是从一片橡胶种植地演变而来的，所有的香料植物都以最自然的方式在大环境生长，经历了无数个日子才能成为集旅游和学习和研究的自然景观，如今，园里还留有部分橡胶树让旅人遮阴避阳。另一个让人印象深刻的花园里的流水贯穿整个自然生态，曲折的潺潺小溪，花草丰盛滋满，耳中流水悠悠其实就是自然与心灵的相互回应。

Tropical spice garden contain around 500 different kinds of plants that came from our own Malaysia and also other tropical area. This garden does not build in a short period of time. It is all originated from a rubber plantation. All the plants were growth in the most natural way and environment where the plants can growth healthy. So, it does really take quite some times to become the spice garden that we can visit and learn from. Now there are still some rubber trees that act as shades which creates a nice environment for us to visit. Another impressive thing to look at is the winding steam, the boat that harbor on the lake and also the blossom of the plants. Everything is so pure and clean here where make your mind become as such.

第二次来到槟城热带香料花园，感觉截然不同，第一次风和日丽，这一次则阴云阵雨，大自然景点不像其他城市建筑景观一直保有固定的面貌，因此每一次到访都会有不同的体悟。在钢骨丛林长大的孩子，对待自然森林的想法不同，我一直想起蒋勋老师在森林行走时，记录在《舍得舍不得》里在的感悟：

「在人口密集的地方生活惯了，一旦回到自然，没有人依靠或依赖，就会有恐惧吧。都市里的人因此越来越害怕自然，都市长大的孩子，没有亲近自然的经验，父母也常告诫：自然处处都是危险，用一道一道的防护围栏把人与自然隔开。」

只有亲身接触，才能经验自然的奥秘。雨后的园林，露水清凉舒爽，树叶清澈碧绿，热带香味扑面而来，水滴落入湖中，圈圈的涟漪微微泛起，睡莲轻轻随风晃动，空中弥漫着一股新生与腐朽的浓郁气味。小径掩藏在树林间，我们穿着蓝色雨衣像精灵在爱丽丝梦游仙境般的迷幻树林穿梭来往。从中观察自然万物如何用不同的方式来圆满生命，从萌芽到绽放到枯谢，那种魅力在于内敛而不喧哗，或许就像我们常常说的一种人生修行功课，值得向自然致敬与学习。

This is the second time we visit Tropical Spice Garden and it is a rainy day. To be honest, the feeling is totally different compare toour first visit where it is a sunny day. Rainy day give this garden an enchanted feeling. You can imagine that you are walking in an “Alice in the wonderland” scene where everything is so dreamy. Wild mushroom was grown on the bark along the pathway, frogs are croaking in a peaceful rhythm. Both of us was like a little blue creature walking thru the forest because we are wearing a blue poncho that time.

The Staff there is so lovely that give each of us a poncho before entering the garden. If not we will be soaking wet for sure. Listen to the rain drop hitting the leaves and also the fog that covered the garden is so stress free. Other than that, they also will provide tour for you in a certain time. If you missed the tour, do not freak out. There is a talk thru radio that came in different languages to help you understand everything about the garden. It is simply brilliant.

简而言之，花园的氛围安静祥和，像个远离喧闹的世外桃源，大自然地香料植物散发的声香色味，把城市生活的烦恼泡制成朗月清风的时光。如果没有细心去发现聆听这片土地，香料花园终究不过是一个平淡无奇的绿色植物园。把心安顿好，去感受去触摸去拥抱，每一朵花，每一只蝴蝶，每一棵树，每一片叶子都是生命的奇迹，它们在呼吸，在传播和布施生命的美丽与自然地和谐。

It is very calm and quite in this spice garden which creates a great contrast with the forever busy town. The natural fragrance of the plant diffuses in the air which acts as a natural aroma therapy for those who visited. Here makes you forget about all the stress from your work and really calm you down. We can say, this is another kind of relaxation. If you are not pay attention and explore this garden with your heart, it will be just a normal garden that you can find it anywhere in the middle of the town. Put aside everything and feel each of the plant with an open heart. Every single flower, butterfly, tree and leaf is a miracle of life. They are breathing like us and spread the natural beauty and harmony to our world.
